Very good
Homely, perfect for a few nights
Liked: Homely. Easy check in. Great location.
Disliked: No natural light without opening the shutters from the outside of the building. Needed shower gel etc.
Liked: There was no pro about the Apartments to like. Studio flats were really small. The reception was not available first thing in the morning and also at noon for almost 2hours each. Funny thing is i have been in many hotels and hostels and Apartments in my life for trips and everytime i asked the manager whether early check in is possible or not, all of them said yes, some with a small extra fee which is understandable and the others did it for free. But this hostel wasn't gonna and didn't give us the room even one hour earlier than mentioned check in. Btw since when is the check in 4pm? I've seen many hotels which check in is between 1pm to 2pm in some cases like big hotels until 3pm max. A little bit flexibility is always good even for a small fair amount.
Disliked: The staff gave us a Basement room at first and lied that there are no other rooms available. Then after i complained that i have paid almost 700 for 5nights which was far beyond expensive they had contacted the manager and suddenly anohter a little bit better room showed up somehow from thin air because they told us all of the rooms are full and occupied. The rooms are so compressed. The bed had no place on its left or right to come out of. The floor was covered by an old Rug. The toilet and shower was placed so bad next to each other that water from the shower could flow to the toilet floor and there was not enough room to sit and clean yourself on the toilets. The windows had no insect screen considering that it's a warm city with lots of mosquitoes and an A/C needs an exit way to function better. The entry to building was also messed up. There were some condense water dropping of the entry roof and every time you wanted to enter and exit the building you definitely got a stain on your cloths.
It was a very good stay, everything very close I surely would choose this property again
Liked: Perfect location, about 1 minute to promenade and to the Sea, plenty of cafés, restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment was tiny but really clean, nicely furnished, modern bathroom, comfy bed. Wi-fi worked excelently and also Netflix.
Disliked: Our apartment was on the ground floor, enter was right from the street, so sometimes in the night some drunk people tried to open the door. Also the toilet pipes were very thigh so it sometimes went stuck, the water didn’t flow away and there was need to call the landlord and he had to come and cleaned it from the outside. However he was really very helpful and polite.
Liked: Location, facilities in the apartment & their local bar were all great
Disliked: Only downside was the apartment door is on the street so there were people trying to open the door on 2-3 occasions
Bad - got scammed by their guide
Liked: Honestly the only good thing was the location.
Disliked: Okay so long story made short this Hotel / Hostel cooperated with a scamful company Jadera booking and I know this because they share the same number. We got stranded by their guide and got blamed for being late even though he misled us and 7 others to the wrong pick up location after we had hiked plitvice lakes. Their guide Karlo Erceg told us to get a flixbus back home (which we did and paid 21 x 2 eur) mind you we paid 100 euros together. This happend in a foreign country where we followed his information for pickup and was misled. Karlo Erceg simply did not care if we had any belongings in the old bus like our passports or such. Others had later privately messaged me and told me he said on the bus everyone was on (While missing me and my partner), we was eventually refunded by getyourguide - but these types of businesses needs to be put out as they see tourists as an ATM machine. They told us they would come by our room to give us soap (which was supposed to be included) we had to go to them 2 times instead; they probably thought we would never come by. See pictures for proof. Shameful! I know this originally should be about the property however since the property collaborated with this agency my stay was overshadowed by this 1 event. I travel to many countries last year 10 countries, this things have never happend somewhere else before.
You should book another place
Liked: Well located. Although it is on a very busy street with plenty of bars and nightlife, none of the noise could be heard from inside the room. The soundproofing is very good. The bed was also large and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well.
Disliked: You have to pick up the keys at a reception located at a different and rather confusing address. When I arrived, the woman handling the check-in acted as if she was doing me a favor. She didn’t even say hello and barely bothered to tell me the room number, I had to ask more than once. She couldn’t even open the front door of the property, which is admittedly difficult to open, but considering that checking guests in is literally part of her job, this was quite surprising and not helpful at all. In the end, I had to figure things out myself and try to understand the few barely audible words she said. I speak English, but I don’t think guests should be expected to decipher someone who is whispering and chewing gum at the same time and speaking like a Beverly Hills teenager. Once we arrived at the property, we went up a flight of stairs and found that our room was located underneath another staircase, on the lower level of the building. The layout was a little different from what I expected based on the photos. One thing that surprised me was that the kitchenette is located in the same space as the bathroom (?) which was at least… unusual? Yes: the kitchen is literally IN the bathroom. Considering the price charged, the overall experience was simply not good enough and did not offer good value for money.
