Exceptional
Good hotel
Liked: Access to coffee and teas. Helpful with bike storage and charging.
Disliked: Couldn’t lock room door. Photos are very flattering.
Liked: What makes this place truly an unforgettable experience are the people who makes little miracles every day. The place is cozy, warm, and has a happy vibe in it. Historically, the building has such charm and rich in its own stories. If you happen to choose their breakfast option, you will be surprised with their curated breakfast spread. The only regret that I had was staying in it for a few days.
We totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful
Liked: The homestyle feeling this property provides is wonderful. The morning breakfast was delicious and so many choices was great to begin our day. The afternoon boost of cookies/tea or lovely mint water was really nice.
Disliked: Elevator would have been helpful in moving luggage up and down to rooms. Walk in showers instead of tubs also would have been good.
I can’t wait to return
Liked: I loved everything about this property! They treat you like family.
Disliked: Nothing!
One of the best properties in the region!
Liked: Everything! This was our THIRD stay at De L’Atelier. The staff is exceptional. Provided a secure place for our bicycles and offered local tips. The breakfast is a delicious must! We paid a little more for a more spacious room which was well worth it.
Disliked: Nothing
Lovely central location and historic building if you are staying in the main house, inadequate coffee facilities was a
Liked: The central location in a historic building was exactly what we wanted enhanced by quirky furnishings It was very clean and the bathroom was great.
Disliked: Our room was small despite being a superior room, there was only room for one chair so if we wanted to relax in the room we had to sit on the bed. Little storage for clothes to unpack as we stayed 5 nights. Maybe better for one or two nights. The internet was not sufficient to work. The room could have been improved by a kettle as we had to walk outside and across the courtyard to use the lukewarm water of the coffee facilities provided. There was no window to the ‘garden room’ or view, to slow natural light in the curtains over a glass door had to be opened. The door led out to a little patio with table and chairs, this would have been lovely in good weather but did not enhance the facilities when we were there or provide the necessary extra space The patio faced a small garden which was not private to the room, there was a dog running around off the lead and was unattractive as used for storage; bikes, road signs, ladders etc and had a security light that flashed all night. There was an odd smell around the breakfast room (we ate out), coffee bar and in the bedroom. It may be worthwhile for the owner to discuss with staff to reflect on how they speak to customers and to treat them respectfully The housekeeper was delightful
