  Nice place but make sure you ask for a non-smoking room

  Liked: Excellent location

  Disliked: Our room stank of smoke. We asked to move to another one and were greeted by a firm “non”. We were told they would remedy the problem and a man turned up, armed with a can of air-freshener!

  Great location, great service

  Liked: Comfortable room, spacious even with extra bed. Provision for extra child v good, robe, towel etc. staff were very friendly and helpful.

  Disliked: Kitchen closed at 9.45pm, which meant a very small room service option

  Three to four star at best

  Liked: Really in a poor state of disrepair. No way five star. Also the adjacent buildings at beach level are full of squatters.

  Totally disappointed

  Liked: The hotel is in disrepair. Our room was atrocious. We paid for a premium room with an ocean view. There were broken tiles, a torn bedframe, cracks in the bathroom. There was a weird smell in the room and the interior was completely outdated. We just couldn’t believe it. The common areas, as well as the entrance, reflected this as well. It was nothing like we expected. We simply couldn’t stay. Fortunately we found another resort in Biarritz. I don’t recommend.

  DIRTY and renovation needed!!!!

  Liked: When booking a 5 star SOFITEL you do expect something nice. All we can say is: the people working there where nice and location perfect BUT the maintenance and cleanliness of the place is not even worth one star. We would not stay here again and I actually hope getting a message saying my review has been deleted due to renovation. There were water leaking from a shower into the gym. The outside walls dirty dirty dirty and we had dog/human hair on the balcony. How the SOFITEL-group can be known having this low standard is surprising. This if maybe the first time ever I only post bad pictures because it is needed. I would never recommend anyone this hotel in Biarritz. Many better options!
