Grande Plage and centre
Between the Grande Plage, the casino and Place Clemenceau are the classic hotels, many in Belle Époque buildings, and holiday apartments. The fishermen’s harbour, the Rocher de la Vierge and the shopping streets are within walking distance.
Côte des Basques
Above the beach of the same name there are small hotels, guesthouses and apartments with a surf vibe. The surf schools and the covered market are nearby, and the centre is a short walk away.
Milady and Ilbarritz
To the south, towards Bidart, the Milady and Ilbarritz area is more residential, with villas, apartments and some hotels with sea views. It has wide, quieter beaches, but a car or the bus is advisable.
Anglet and Bayonne
To the north, Anglet offers residences, campsites and hotels by long surf beaches and pine woods. Bayonne, a few kilometres away, has hotels in its old town by the cathedral, with a railway station and frequent buses to Biarritz.
