Nice location but needs some attention from owners

Liked: Quite, relaxed environment. Outside the city

Disliked: Rooms could be cleaner. Simple soap in the bathroom would be a simpel upgrade 1 of our rooms was outdated and not clean.

Friendly staff, but run down and dirty

Liked: The room was nice and big, comfortable bed. The evening meal was excellent.

Disliked: It was quite run down externally, and was pretty dirty. The bathroom in particular was poor. Hair left in the shower (a large amount of long black hair), mold in the shower - just not properly cleaned.

  Avoid at all costs

Liked: The locality to the main road en route to Calais

Disliked: It was appalling. The room was dirty. The last occupants dirty towels were in the bathroom. The light in the bathroom didn't work. The bedside light didn't work. There was a hole in the wall where the door handle had hit it. The toilet was stained. The skirting boards dirty. No air conditioning. Breakfast was not attended by staff, so one had to work out where the food, crockery and cutlery was

A hub of peace next to Lille metropolis

Liked: The hosts were willing to wait for us to arrive late evening. The breakfast didn't disappoint and the cosy fireside start to the day was what we needed. The access to the motorways was very easy - like anywhere in Lille for that matter.

Disliked: The location being in a cul-de-sack, there was a smell outside most likely linked to waste water. Not sure other guests have reported this but it would be good to get to the bottom of this.
