  Lovely over-the-top room - brilliant!

  Liked: I love hotels with quirkiness and personality, and this one did not disappoint! The room was totally and utterly over-the-top wtih decor - brilliant. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would stay their again.

  Disliked: No staff present and key difficult to retrieve. You need a German phone to call them. Painful for foreign visitors.

  Not ideal for international travellers

  Liked: Showers and kitchen were very clean. I liked the room theme

  Disliked: Room was not very clean, stains on bedding and floor. There was a strong damp/dirty smell in the room when I arrived that was still there when I left. I was sent a message to check in at a Cafe, but the cafe was closed. Some of the messages I was sent were conflicting and confusing. The lady on the Phone was very helpful. Finding the hostel was very challenging. I am English but speak a passable amount of German, I doubt a non German speaker would be able to get to the Hostel.

  Nice hostel to be recommended

  Liked: Big and comfortable rooms. Exceptional design. Quiet surrounding. Very clean.

  Disliked: Only one toilet. Keys to be collected far away.

  Liked: Large, well decorated room. A bit quirky, but full of character. Ok, no private bathroom, but two excellent shower rooms are available. No queues! I used one of them every day! Excellent modern fittings. A spacious kitchen is available, but in fact I didn't use it. Café Europa, used as reception, is a brilliant pub, serving a great choice of drinks and some really good food. Being veggie is not a problem. Excellent position, with trams and trains on the doorstep. The staff in Café Europa are really friendly. My third visit and I'm coming back in October.

  Disliked: Normally I would like to have my own bathroom, but it really wasn't an issue.
