  Liked: Everything was great, charming boat, excellent service, cozy room and we were even surprised to get our own toilet.

  Disliked: The only downside was the quite long walk to Altstadt, and there were quite few lights after sunset in the park(not blaming the hotel for that though!). Fortunately the Neustadt station was on a very decent distance.

  Stay by the Elbe on this lovely holiday boat

  Liked: Different experience. Good value fur money, super clean, friendly and efficient staff. Lovely breakfast. Easy to get to Aldstadt and key sites. Can hire a bike direct from boat too and cycle away up the Elbe. Loved it.

  The old Karl Marx river ship

  Liked: Unique, historical river ship, location, price. I was lucky and had the captains cabin, much quieter and includes attached private bathroom.

  Disliked: Nothing much I didn't already know. Low ceiling for me being tall, but all was manageable. A little loud if you are in the middle cabins where you share bathroom with other guests.
