Liked: The location is perfect, close to the train station.

Disliked: The room was overpriced for the quality of the accommodation. I paid €265 for two nights, with a significant price difference between the first and second nights due to a concert taking place on the second night. While I understand that prices increase during major events, the overall standard of the room did not justify the cost. When I first entered the room, there was a very strong smell of cigarettes, which was extremely unpleasant, especially as I am a non-smoker. On a more positive note, the bed, although small, was comfortable, and the bedsheets were clean. The bathroom also needed some attention. The shower hose and handle were detached, meaning that the hose was left lying on the floor while I had to hold the handle to shower. The taps were also quite old and made it difficult to regulate the water temperature properly. Also, the towels given were tiny, one for the hands/hair and another one for the body. However, my biggest concern was the lack of security. As a woman travelling alone, I found it completely unacceptable that the door lock was broken. Although the door could be closed, it could not be locked. This is a serious safety concern and, in my opinion, a basic requirement that any hotel should ensure is properly addressed before welcoming guests. Unfortunately, stories about women feeling unsafe while travelling alone are all too common. Hotels have a responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for their guests, and being able to lock the door to your room should be the bare minimum. This issue significantly affected my overall experience and made me question the standards of safety and maintenance at the property. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. I would have happily paid a little more for accommodation with better facilities, proper maintenance and, above all, adequate security. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations, particularly considering the price I paid.
