  Tourist trap, you need to have your back against the wall during check-out

  Liked: The location is somewhat good.

  Disliked: The staff were very rude and inconsiderate. When they realized you were a tourist, they tried to charge you more, and I couldn't argue further because I was about to miss my flight. It was a very bad experience.

  Mixed feelings

  Liked: The hotel is very well located between the main train station and Dusseldorf's attractions. Easy to find. Decent choice for breakfast, nice staff, easy check-in - check-out procedure. Still a reasonable price as for the centre of the city.

  Disliked: The main feature of a good hotel is that you can get good sleep in the night, and I did not get it in Moxy... The room was stuffy even if the window was opened, and my bed was very uncomfortable. Who invented a plastic wrapping for a mattress, so one creeks in the night and feels like a patient in intensive care? Add bouncy pillows and hearing your neighbour walking in the room above and you will get a full picture. There is too much plastic and cheap material in this hotel, anyway. Other than that, there is nothing complementary in the room, not even a bottle of water. No wardrobes of course (it's Moxy...), And the breakfast is in a typical "Moxy style" open area with huge tables, so you dine with strangers shoulder to shoulder most of times - whether you like it or not.... or you are confined to an uncomfortable small tables good for a cup of coffee but not for plates. Heavy doors to the rooms, difficult to open.
