Liked: perfect for short stay - very good breakfast - easy to find with GPS

Disliked: could have been a little fridge in room, also a trash can was missing in the room, there was only a very small one in the bathroom.

Nice hotel with excellent connectivity to the city centre or to the Autobahn

Liked: Close to the major tram/bus station and takes few minutes to easily reach the city centre. There are also a few restaurants nearby. The room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean, but 1 towel, although washed, had hair remnants.

Disliked: Parking fees are exorbitant for Freiburg; it could have been a bit cheaper.

Liked: The best part of staying here was the location. Right next to the park and ride. We could get out of bed and get on the trams into town if we wanted to. Discounted parking the hotel was nice. Seems most hotels charge for parking in Germany so it didn't come as a shock. The room was clean and nicely styled. Decent bathroom. Cozy enough for the price which was very reasonable. The late check in time was also a nice bonus as we did arrive later in the day. Staff were super nice and helpful too and explained the parking situation.

Disliked: The beds were a bit firm but thats down to personal preference and not a mark against the hotel itself. We would have liked if the breakfast options had warmer offerings. It mostly looked like cold salads, cereals and cold cut meats. We'd have paid for breakfast if there was a warmer savory option but opted out and got breakfast in town instead. Having smoking facilities right outside the main door wasn't what We'd have liked as my wife has strong allergies to cigarette smoke and had to walk through the smoke to get in. But smoking culture is very different in Germany than it is where we come from so we'll put it down to that.

The tram connection was convenient, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, a lovely experience. I would happily stay here again!
