  Well located and comfortable stay

  Liked: There was lots to like about this property, we spent 5 nights here and overall had a great time. The location is excellent, right next to a tram stop that took us everywhere we needed to go, as well as amenities like a Lidl very nearby. The host gave us some excellent recommendations, including a (very reasonably priced) winery just around the corner selling local wines. Most elements of the property were spotlessly clean, and we found the beds to be comfortable. The shower was also brilliant! And of course Freiburg itself is excellent.

  Disliked: As others have said, it really was very noisy trying to sleep. We live on a main road in London so are used to traffic and street noise throughout the night, but we were still kept awake at various times. The apartment was mainly clean, however we had to pre-wash nearly all the cutlery, plates, glasses, pans etc before we used them as they were not all clean. It was difficult to communicate with the host at times but overall that didn’t cause significant problems.

  Liked: The property is close to transport like tram. The There's grocery store nearby.

  Disliked: To close to main road and public footpath, it's very noisy most of the time. It's almost ground floor. It could be better equipped. These type of apartments are not very good in warm weather conditions. No air conditioning, no natural air flow.

  An outstanding apartment and helpful hosts. Prima!

  Liked: The apartment was a wonderful place to stay, a great base for exploring Freiburg, and a comfortable space for working. It is located less than a minute from a tram stop but is also within easy walking distance from the Altstadt/Hauptbahnhof and the Vauban eco-district in the other direction. The facilities were everything I needed and, if anything, the photographs don't do justice to the apartment's spaciousness and comfort (especially with the balcony and vineyards across the road). Karl and his family were superb hosts - prompt and helpful in communications, giving us a warm and informative welcome tour, and being available for any issues while otherwise just left me to enjoy my time. It is clearly, 100%, the place I would hope to be able to stay in future visits to Freiburg.

  Great value property, host was very helpful

  Disliked: Was a bit hot some of the nights and a fan to cool down would have been appreciated

  the hosts were nice and helpful, albeit the poor quality of the bed and pillows and the loud noises

  Liked: close proximity to a tram station and downtown Freiburg

  Disliked: Traffic noises due to the apt being near the street, smoke billowing from the next-door neighbor who smoked at night out on his balcony next to the apt, the bed was lopsided, and the pillows were saggy, hence they are uncomfortable to sleep on.
