Big room, clean and nice, the fridge made so much noise that I couldnt use it. The bed is very firm!

Disliked: The bed was extremely hard

Liked: pleasant, spacious room, efficiently furnished with students / scholars in mind, dishes and pots provided, quiet neigborhood, friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to railway station and downtown attractions. Restaurant on site, stores and further restaurants and bars close by. Very ckean kitchen and common room.

Disliked: Hardly any appliances in kitchen except several stoves. Overly strict rules may have curbed use of the commonn rooms for meeting and conversing with other guests.

  Freiburg and the Weihnachtsmarkt

Liked: The proximity to the city centre and the public transport. There's a small fridge to keep drinks in it. I'll might come back for a German course.

Disliked: Not having the chance to chat a little bit with the welcoming staff is something I've missed but I suppose it's normal nowadays to pick up the keys with a code and give them back in a post box. The room is spartan but has got the essentials. The small heater wasn't working so I suffered from the cold. I've tried to call numerous times the number given in case of necessity but nobody answered.
