Very clean gasthaus with friendly staff and good food

Liked: The staff was very nice. Very unique building and the breakfast was very good. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable

Disliked: I should have looked carefully and book a room that didn’t share a bathroom with two other rooms

Liked: The staff are wonderful! Very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was delightful, restaurant choices had a great variety and everything was just delicious! The rooms were cozy, the whole building felt more like a lovely home than a hotel. The location is perfect for walking into nature or into the Aldstatt, and with a close stop for busses if you'd prefer not to walk. Overall a very lovely stay. Highly recommend!

Disliked: That we had only 3 days for such a charming place in such a beautiful town!

Traditional, clean and in a great location, with friendly staff and great breakfast

Liked: This is a traditional German style 'gasthaus', and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean as was the bathroom and toilet which was shared with 2 or three other rooms. The breakfast was substantial with a lot choice, including breads, cured meats, yoghurt and good coffee. The free onsite car parking was a major bonus, especially when located so close to the city centre.

the are better options for the same price

Liked: The breakfast was good. The biegarten and restaurant are nice, the food was ok. A railway station is just across the street. The staff did the necessary, no complaints here.

Disliked: i didn't mind the shared bathroom, but the cleanliness of the bathroom did not meet the expectations. while the beds were good and the the sheets clean, the furnishing and amenities/equipment of the house were old and did not warrant the price for a one night stay.
