  great location!

  Liked: Walkable, quiet, comfortable beds, easy access to everything needed when staying in a hostel. Close to cafes, great restaurants and health food stores.

  Comfortable enough, good value, but noisy when we stayed

  Liked: Good value for money for a one night stopover as we headed home from Italy. Train station a few minutes walk. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. The place isn’t the Ritz, but it never claimed to be. It’s basic, but clean and warm. There are a few restaurants nearby and an honourable mention for Eat and Smile. Excellent falafel boxes. Go for the 10 euro one. Very nice.

  Disliked: Not really the hotel’s fault, but more a sign of the times. A bunch of inconsiderate idiots rolled up at 3.30am and were yelling in the corridors and slamming doors for about half an hour. That was my sleep finished for the night. The hotel’s acoustics really amplify everything, so these situations are pretty uncomfortable. Still, it is a hostel.

  Liked: It was easy to check-in even after the reception was closed. The shared kitchen was well equipped and well maintained.

  Disliked: On the way from the train station, you have to pass through a park that can be a bit sketchy at night, so if travelling alone I would recommend walking around it.

  Fab hostel with family rooms in a great location very close to the station and town centre

  Liked: We stayed in a family room which was split over two floors. It was simple, as you'd expect for a hostel, but it was clean and had everything we needed. There was a really nice vibe in the communal area and the kitchen was clean and well equipped. It was great to have our own fridge in the bedroom.

  Disliked: It was absolutely boiling during our visit, and while we had two fans in the room, it was pretty hard to sleep during the heatwave as we were up in the roof of the building and the room got pretty unbearably hot. The laundry facilities were also quite limited, and were shared with other users of the building so it was not easy finding a time to use the washing machine when there wasn't a big queue.

Good to know

The reception is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on weekends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please inform the property if arriving outside of reception opening hours. All of the rooms are on the second (budget twin rooms) and third floor (all other rooms). There is no elevator in this building.

A deposit may be required at the property.
