Liked: Dear Mercure Hotel Hannover City Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. My experience was very poor due to several issues: - Bathroom: There were no toiletries or accessories provided in the bathroom. - Bedroom / Bedding: I had specifically requested a single bed, but was given a double bed instead. Furthermore, there were only two pillows and two cushions (instead of the standard four pillows), which made it very uncomfortable. - Amenities: There was no iron and no laundry box in the room. - Cleanliness and View: The room was dusty, and the view from the window was practically nonexistent. Disliked: I've updated the email to clearly state the specific reasons for your dissatisfaction: the missing bathroom accessories, dust throughout, the lack of a proper view, the incorrect bed setup, insufficient pillows, and the absence of an iron and laundry box.
Great location and value for money in Hannover
Liked: Excellent location, right by an U-Bahn station and near the centre of the city. Great value for money and cleanliness. Facilities.
Disliked: Rooms a little old fashioned and dark. Parking was unavailable (full) and rather expensive - an extra 25€ requested per day.
Liked: Location central and quite, next to a park great for a walk in the evening. Tasty restaurant with creative menus choices. Minibar was included (idk because of status). Room was cosy
Disliked: Asked for two beds but got them together so had to move them myself. The toilet seemed to be very low. bathroom door couldn't be closed so the in between door needed to be shut. No friend of the water spending system but it's very climate friendly and water has good quality
Clean and comfortable, great location
Liked: Great staff, comfortable, clean rooms.
Disliked: In site (underground) parking uses a car elevator which is too small for 4x4 / SUV vehicles. We had to park just round the corner but only walk 5 mins.

OK, but not a 4star
Liked: We had (at the very least) a mixed experience. The hotel is in a good location, next to the new city Hall and just a few minutes walk to the city centre, in a quiet and nice area. However, although the ground floor has been clearly recently renovated, the rooms are very old and worn down, our room was very big but almost empty apart from the bed a and a small table. It did not feel welcoming. The air conditioning system is also old and very noisy. Fortunately it was not hot when we were there so we did not need it in the night. There was a brand new smart TV on the wall, but no connection to the internet, 90% of the channels were in German and it was not possible to cast from our own device (something that is now standard in 4star hotels). This may seem a trivial thing, but when travelling as a family with children it can make a big difference to the overall experience. The bathroom was OK, although having to jump in and out of the high bath to take a shower was very uncomfortable (and could be also unsafe). The toilet did not flush properly, we let the staff know, but one would expect that the cleaning staff should have picked on that. The room+bathroom were cleaned OK, but we found an empty beer bottle on the floor on our arrival, from previous guests. we left it well in sight by the entrance door, but in the 3 days we were there no one picked it up. The best feature of the room (and the only reason for the 6 points given in the overall rating) were definitely the beds, much newer than the rest of the room, very comfortable, including good pillows. The breakfast was also somehow disappointing, a very limited selection of bread and fresh fruit, especially, and overall, the quality of the products was lower than a standard 4star, apart form the coffee, which was very good. We arrived on Sunday evening tired after a long train trip and although we understand that the restaurant might now have a full menu, 60 euro for a bowl of soup out of a can, 2 reheated supermarket frozen pizzas and some hummus with bread seemed excessive. Overall, not what you would expect from a 4 star and from Mercure, especially when compared to similar hotels and cost, definitely not value for money.
