  Needs refinement, but a decent stay

  Liked: The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do. It is literally across the street from the train station, so if you're traveling by rail, it's very convenient. The bed was large and pretty comfortable. Checking in and out was convenient.

  Disliked: The room had no fresh towels when we arrived. We had to get some from the cleaning staff. The shower wand literally blew off the wall our first morning there, and after advising hotel staff (a message on booking and verbal conversation with cleaning staff), they set up to have it fixed the day we were leaving. There was no kettle in the room, we were told that the coffee maker would be sufficient for our needs. The room had one cereal bowl for two people. There were no instructions on how to adjust the climate control and our room was stifling hot on arrival. We ended up opening all the windows to try and cool it down. In a follow up message from the hotel, they told us to give them an overall rating of 8 or higher. If you want a good review and a high rating, then provide that level of facility and service. Good reviews are earned!

  Liked: Very clean and comfortable. Good facilities in room. Great location. Cleaner was very efficient and friendly. 12pm check-out was really helpful.

  Disliked: Breakfast not worth it, there is no Breakfast room, you take food from reception to your room. Only 4 coffee pods provided on 3 day stay. Weird online check-in system and they try to get you to take a key on your phone. Reception not open all day and staff unenthused.

  Stylish apartment hotel in strategic location

  Liked: Stylish apartment hotel in the city, close to the train station; great room layout; while the studio was small - the sleep& sitting & kitchen areas were skillfully separated; great lighting solutions

  Disliked: The smartphone entry system worked well overall, but I would have appreciated knowing in advance that alternative entry methods were available. It would also have been reassuring to know that staff were available at the reception area on the first floor during the day until 5 pm and could have assisted if the phone entry system had failed. A note for future guests: Be aware that there are two separate entrances to the building. On my second day, I accidentally returned through the wrong door. Although it opened, it led to a different area of the building, where the doors to the floors were closed. I was unable to get back to my room, and there was nobody around to help. It took me a while to realize that I needed to leave the building and find the main entrance. The two entrances had different numbers (57 and 59, or similar), but the doors and entry areas looked deceptively alike. This was quite a stressful situation, especially as I needed to check out and catch a train. Clearer instructions about which entrance to use, along with information about alternative entry options and available assistance, would make the experience much smoother and less stressful for future guests. I was also unable to use the stove. The instructions stated that the window had to be open while cooking to prevent the fire alarm from going off. However, there was no way to secure the window in an open position. It was one of the heaviest windows I have ever encountered and would slide shut on its own.

  Convenient and comfortable location in central Leipzig

  Liked: Perfect location in the centre of Leipzig, all major attractions were walkable. Apartment was well soundproofed. Comfortable bed.

  Disliked: Limited cutlery and crockery. Only two of each item; even for two people extra cutlery in particular would have been useful.
