  Great location, handy to all the sights

  Liked: Location and convenience to public parking. Perfect for an overnight stay with clean comfy facilities and cafes & restaurants & shops steps away. Very short walk to the lakeside

  Bare bones and pricy

  Liked: The gentleman who gave us our keys was nice, the location was quite convenient, and the room was very spacious.

  Disliked: The listing on Booking.com indicated a private bathroom, which in all my experiences on Booking.com has meant an en suite bathroom. The bathroom here, however, was a private bathroom in a shared hallway. This was really disappointing in general and especially overnight. To use the bathroom overnight (which with 5 people in our room happened a few times) we had to unlock our room with an old key (loud, and shone bright hallway light directly onto guests sleeping in our room, waking them) and go into the hall and unlock/re-lock the bathroom (also loud). The listing should distinguish private from en suite for clarity. Also, the cost for the quality of the very, very bare bones room (like a hostel) was quite high. No elevator or AC.

  Good option for a short stay in Lindau-Insel

  Liked: I was looking for a budget stay in Lindau-Insel and this was one of the most budget friendly one. My room was pretty small but I could use the shared fridge which was great.

  Disliked: The shared bathroom actually worked, I never had to wait for other guests to finish but still I found it and the shared toilets weird. Also the check-in was a bit weird as well because I told them that I'm going to arrive between 15:30 - 16:30 so that's when they should expect me. I actually arrived at 16:00, yet there was no receptionist available and even when I rang the door, noone answered until a kind lady who lived close to the entrance door opened it for me and said the receptionist was just here but now he's gone. So I waited for like 10 minutes until he actually appeared and showed me my room on the 2nd floor. No elevator for those traveling with big luggages. There's also no AC or fan at all and the room can get hot.

  Liked: The location was very good. Since it‘s on the island itself it‘s good. This means the island is small and any location on the island is good.

  Disliked: The entrences smelled like smoke from cigarettes. It wasn‘t super clean.
