  Great Place to Stay, but not in the summer

  Liked: The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to the tram. The ground floor of the hotel is air conditioned, but the guest rooms are not. The weather was unusually hot while we were there, and the lack of cooling in the room made it very difficult to sleep. The rest of our stay was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was nice, and the personnel were very friendly and pleasant. If we return to Mainz during any time but summer, this would be a great place to stay. In the summer, though, we would have to pick a hotel with air conditioning.

Good to know

Guests travelling with a pet need to inform the hotel 3 days prior to arrival. An additional cleaning fee of 20 Euro will apply.

From July 1, 2026, the city of Mainz will levy a city tax on paid overnight stays. This municipal tax is legally mandated and is charged in addition to the accommodation price. The amount of the tax depends on the accommodation price per person per night and currently ranges from €2.00 to €5.00 per person per night. The city tax will be shown separately at the time of booking or at the latest upon arrival and will be paid to the city of Mainz. Our team is happy to answer any questions you may have.
