  Overall the location was great but the Gästehaus was lacking and not enjoyable

  Liked: The location was great for downtown things. Historic buildings and churches were walkable. The neighborhood felt safe. The breakfast was as expected; normal German spread. The safe was helpful in getting me a taxi.

  Disliked: I did not like that I had to check in at Hotel Royal and then walk across to where I was actually staying. The room was bare and the only outlet to charge my phone was in the bathroom. The room was warm, without AC and the shower did not work.

  Liked: I switched rooms after the first night because it was too hot without air conditioning in the first room. But they were very kind and offered a change of room free of charged after I asked. That room was much more comfortable. The location is also quite convenient and it’s good value for money.

  Disliked: Only that the first room didn’t have air conditioning. So in summer be careful which room you book.

  Unbeatably central, very practical layout and wonderful staff

  Liked: You can't beat the location, smack in the centre. Room was large, especially for the location, with separate living area and a big bath with separate WC. Much more functional than the new-school hotel designs! I am ok with the older carpeted design in exchange for this space and daylight bath. Lovely and helpful staff too.

  Disliked: A bit noisy but the heavy metal blinds were enough for us to deal with that. It is a matter of location - if you want to be this centrally located that's the tradeoff.
