  Pleasant stay with a great view and convenient location for exploring Trier

  Liked: We stayed 2 nights with the aim of visiting the main Roman sites plus other historical buildings in Trier. We arrived by car in the dark and still managed to find it: it is the first driveway that leads up to your right after you drive in through the iron arch from the main road. There is plenty of free parking just opposite the driveway. Note that you can unload your bags at the top of the (steep) drive - just keep to the left rather than heading for the main doors. Then park at the bottom and admire the panoramic view of Trier. We chose this place as it is in easy walking distance of the Amphitheatre, however we decided to drive down (2 minutes) in the morning and make use of the Amphitheatre free car park. It is open 24h a day and you can't be locked-in as there are no barriers. We left he car there and walked around all the sites before using the car to climb the hill back to our accommodation rather than our tired legs. The room was big and comfortable. There is a room on the ground floor where can take (for free) various odds & ends you might need or pay for more major items (including food/drink). You get a wonderful view over the city from your window and can spot all the places you have visited.

  Disliked: The driveway is quite steep so if you want to keep going back and forth to your car for things because you aren't well organised then it's quite a trek.

  It was good all in all. We enjoyed our stay

  Liked: The location is great, nice view of the city from the balcony. It was clean and comfortable. The check in process was smooth.

  Disliked: The kitchen was not adequately equipped to clean as is required by the owner at check out. There were only 2 dishwasher soap tablets provided, and no paper kitchen towels. There was also no soap/shampoo in the bathroom. The dishwasher was not in the best working condition. It did not dry the dishes.

  Liked: Excellent location with stunning views over Trier. Very well equipped. Lovely and very comfortably furnished terrace.

  Disliked: Lack of food storage. Confusing directions as name outside did not match name on booking. Not very welcoming. Refrigerator was turned off despite very hot day.

  Liked: Room and bed were comfy with a nice bathroom and balcony. Great view of Trier. Woods behind the property. Bus stop 5 minutes walk away.

  Disliked: The fridge was quite noisy, and was right next to the bed. The mini-cooker wasn't very clean, and had no instructions. Buses weren't very frequent during the evening.
