  A great studio the middle of busy old town

  Liked: The location was perfect for me, right in the middle of town, public transport, pedestrian areas, places to eat, a very convenient grocery shop open till midnight... The layout of the studio is great, it has pretty much everything you need. The kitchen is totally functional and I cooked for myself a lot during my stay.

  Disliked: The front door to the building is not always easy to open. You have to lift the door a bit and then the key would turn. I knew about this from another review so I didn't give up when I first tried to open it. The door always scrapes the stone floor when it opens inwards. One time I spent about 5 minutes trying to get in and felt quite desperate. There is an issue with recycling. There is no collection at the place itself so I guess most people don't bother to sort their rubbish and just throw everything into the bin. There are indeed, as suggested by the host, containers for tin, glass, cardboard and so on on the Frauerplan - the square next to the place, but not for plastic, which is the main offender in my view. Shame.

  Liked: This was a lovely apartment, wonderfully located for my work at the University and very close to the Christmas markets that were in full swing during my stay. Enjoyed everything about it. The cozy decor, the cleanliness and human scale at everything. It was a wonderful space to wind down and meditate after long work days. Lights around the room offered a selection of intensity in illumination which was definitely pleasant.

  Disliked: The bathroom fan was automated and was a little loud but not worth complaining over. Could be easily fixed with a guest operable switch. However i am not sure if the local building code allows it.

  Disliked: There was no internet. I tried several times, and tried all adaptations on my side of things, but there simply was no internet connection with the wifi. I asked the host twice, and they simply told me the wifi address, but then ignored my questions when I told them that I could not get any connection through that wifi address. As a result, I lost several hours of work. Incredibly frustrating.
