Lovely room, very comfortable, spacious and a nice space to be in

Liked: The room was great. Very spacious, well decorated and comfortable, with coffee/tea-making station outside the door. There was a little balcony too, which was a bonus. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. Location-wise, it is close to the old city, Market Place, Goethe's House etc, National Theatre and the excellent Haus of Weimar museum.

Disliked: It's a long walk from the railway station (30 minutes), and it took a while (an hour or so) to find it initially (Google Maps took me on a long, winding route round the edge of town rather than through the centre). They don't do breakfast, but the tea/coffee station has cutlery, crockery and cups so you could easily get something from one of the many bakeries nearby and take it back to the room. The restaurant next door (Cielo's) has an extensive breakfast menu but it is expensive and very busy (this was a Sunday morning).

Great location and charming design, but communication could be improved

Liked: The accommodation has an excellent location, right in the centre of Weimar and within easy walking distance of all the main sights and hotspots. The private parking space was also a very convenient addition, especially when arriving by car. The room was practically equipped, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The concept and interior design gave it a charming and individual character. A nice extra was the small self-service area on the corridor, where tea and tableware were available for guests. The self check-in via code was uncomplicated and made arrival very flexible. Overall, this is a lovely accommodation with a great location and a nice concept. However, communication with guests after their stay could be improved.

Disliked: Unfortunately, the communication after check-out was not ideal. We had forgotten an item in the room and contacted the property via Booking.com to ask whether it had been found, but we never received a reply. Instead, we only received a request to leave a review. A short response regarding our lost item would have been appreciated.

Disliked: I had thought that there would be someone welcoming me. But It turned out that there is no one at the hotel and I just get the key in the box, that information I got on my arrival date. I would have known earlier. I need some human touch when I travel. Upon check-out, I had to pay the city tax through their system, which took me long time to enter my bank information and all. The staff told me that I could choose check-out with a staff from 9:00 am onwards if I prefer, which no body had told me about that. If I had known, of course I would have known that. This kind of short-notice overall, I don't like it. I think there is a huge dent in this no-connection system which is rampant everywhere, and especially here is Weimar, a place for Goethe. Well, in the end, I was wrong expecting something else. I had beautified Weimar a little too much. To be fair, the facility was very clean and beautiful. I liked the sophisticated design very much. It's just a little too much to handle online for someone like me, that's all.

A good value apartment in the best location

Liked: The best location, just around the corner from the Markt. Spotless clean, nice room, very quiet. Free coffee and tea are provided in the hallway, as well as cups, plates, and cutlery. A friendly and helpful cleaning lady. I thought of staying one night, but extended my stay for four nights. Affordable for value.

Disliked: Not a problem for me, but just FYI: there is no elevator, and rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors (if counting the entrance as the 1st floor).

Liked: Location, in general, was fine.

Disliked: The first night, the bath cabinet was blocked. Water accumulated and even came out into the room. My partner could not shower. The staff moved us to another room the next morning, and everything was fine after that. However, this could have been avoided if the room had been checked properly.
