  Liked: Excellent property with a great view over the bay. Convenient for accessing the local bars and restaurants, especially with a hire car.

  Disliked: Parking can be a bit of a problem as there are too many villas and apartments for the number of spaces available.

  Was in a nice location, not too far from the main part of town, had to drive, but enjoyed that it wasn’t so busy

  Liked: There was a sitting room with a little kitchen area and table. We had a beautiful view of the water from our window and private patio.

  Disliked: The bedroom was a bit small so had to use the sitting room for our luggage, but it wasn’t a problem.

  Great choice!

  Liked: A great place for a relaxing stay in Crete. The location is excellent: the beach is nearby, the main road is easy to reach, yet the property itself is quiet and peaceful. I particularly enjoyed the saltwater pool and the beautifully maintained garden. The bedrooms are spacious and have lovely views of the sunrise, while the large kitchen and terrace are perfect for relaxing. I especially liked the living room, with its traditional Cretan-style interior, which gives the place a unique atmosphere. Maria is a very welcoming and hardworking host. The other guests were pleasant as well. And, of course, a special mention goes to the wonderfully well-mannered cats:)

  A pleasant night followed by a beautiful morning

  Liked: Having a pool but also being close to a beautiful small sandy beach with such clear water. Having a birthday breakfast on the balcony with 3 friends

  Wonderful start to our would have loved to stay longer. Thank you Maria for the wonderful stay

  Liked: Location was very near-less than five mins walk from brilliant beach-Ammoudara Beach and local tavernas and shops just a few kms drive or bus- from Agios Nicholaos. Villa well set out, nice balcony allowing watching the sun rise and gentle ocean breezes. Quiet and private. Great pool. Maria, owner very happy to help with any questions, suggestions, gave a bottle of wine at start and cretan olive oil on leaving. Had everything we needed. Would certainly return again.

  Disliked: The steps down to the beach (50 in total) looked a bit daunting but easily managed after first use. The handrail was a bit wobbly. Steps could be avoided by use of taxi-6 euro from Ammoudara or 11 euro from Agios Nicholaos when returning with groceries.

  Liked: Location was great as it was situated close to the beach. The swimming pool was also good size and looked clean.

  Disliked: Rooms were very dated and looked dirty. This is hardly a 3 star hotel, let alone a 4 star one. The lady that looks after it is unprofessional and rude. It is a shame because there is potential for this place to be a gold mine if it had different staff.
