Exceptional
Wonderful Stay at The Athens Gate Hotel
Liked: Our executive suite room on the 7th floor was newly renovated, very pretty. King bed was very comfortable. Our large balcony had a great view of the Acropolis. Rooftop breakfast was plentiful, and there were gluten free options for my husband. We ate dinner at the rooftop and enjoyed it as well; beautiful night time views! The Acropolis and it’s Museum were a 15 minute walk away. We took a guided tour of them with Athenian Tours which was very good. We walked basically to Plaka and Monistiraki and the City Center easily. Dining and grocery supermarket all close by. Bathroom was very ample with walk in shower. Everyone was very nice and helpful too. Definitely recommend!
Disliked: The only thing I can suggest is that the room needs drawers. We stayed 3 nights and besides the small closet and a “shelf” at each nightstand there are no drawers. But if you don’t have a lot to unpack it would be fine.
Perfect Location in Athens
Liked: Perfect location. Exceptional breakfast with one of the best views of any hotel. A great team working at the hotel. I would definitely recommend.
Disliked: Small room, but when your touring this exciting historical city all day, it didn't matter to us.
