  What makes this stay is the people. The staff are delightful and we are appreciative of their care

  Liked: The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating and assist us as tourists finding the area. The view was also lovely.

  Disliked: The building is outdated, tiny elevator, and not a really accessible building. Beds could stand to be replaced and the breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about.

  Overbooked when we arrived

  Disliked: Our group of 10 booked 5 en-suite rooms a full 12 months in advance so we could all stay together. When we arrived, the hotel revealed they had overbooked and shorted our group by two rooms. My partner and I were one of the couples forced to stay off-site. Instead of the private en-suite room we paid for, we were in a 2-bedroom apartment a 9-minute walk away from the main hotel, which we had to share with another couple. Having four adults sharing a single bathroom completely ruined our privacy and the convenience of our trip. We were completely separated from the rest of our party and missed out on the group experience we spent a year planning. This hotel has terrible management and absolute disregard for confirmed bookings. If you are travelling with a group, do not risk staying here.

  Stressful

  Disliked: I was part of the group of 10 that booked 5 en-suite rooms 12 months in advance. While my partner and I were lucky enough to actually get one of the 3 rooms the hotel managed to hold, the hotel's shocking overbooking completely ruined our stay. Even though our individual room was fine, I cannot recommend a hotel with such terrible management. Booking a year ahead should mean security. The logistics of the group being split up caused an enormous amount of unnecessary stress. Do not book here if you are planning a trip with family or friends.

  Liked: The location was wonderful right along the sea with a long Promenade. The bus stop was steps from the front door of the hotel to take you up into the main part of town the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful.

  Disliked: It's a classic small quirky European Hotel. Some Americans May not like that we think it's Charming.

  Fabulous stay at this hotel

  Liked: We absolutely loved this hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. Breakfast was very good and the staff were amazing, they were so helpful and really nice people. Would definitely stay there again as it was in a good location for sight seeing and right opposite a tram stop.

  Disliked: I did not find the pillows on the bed very comfortable.
