Fabulous
Liked: The location is great and the room itself had such a fantastic interior. Very comfortable overall and has quick access to the old town.

Perfect apartment in the Old Town, lovely hosts!
Liked: The apartment was lovely and cool, due to the rustic stone walls along with the air conditioning. Loved the bath in the room. Excellent location in the Old Town, there was swimming spot near the Sunset bar only 4 mins walk away which the locals use, along with Rethymnon beach 20 mins walk.
Disliked: The bath water came out hot and then cold, so the bath was only lukewarm but this was my only dislike.
Liked: The ceilings were high, and the bedroom large. The location was unbeatable, close to everything including the old town and the rethymno bus station, which was helpful. The host was kind.
Disliked: There was a lack of storage (no closet space, drawers etc - just some hooks on the wall above the stairs). The noise was sometimes unbearable - even with all windows closed shut, we could hear children screaming in the morning outside, and at night we heard every conversation. There should be a black out blind above the inaccessible stairs: in the morning, you are immediately woken up by a completely lit up room because there is a small window in the left ceiling of the bedroom, facing upwards, with no covering on it. Beware of tourist tax - we were asked by the host for 14 euros extra when our breakdown receipt clearly said 'environmental tax' had already been taken for 56 euros (8 per night). We did not pay this random additional 14 and the host said that was fine.
Lovely property in a great location
Liked: Great location in a pretty, shaded street in the old town in a Quirky, restored building. Comfortable bed and sufficient kitchen facilities for basic self catering.
Disliked: There is quite a bit of noise late into the evening from the road at the end of the street. There is no private outside space but the owner said it was ok to sit on the dining chairs just outside the property in the street.
It was a pleasant stay in the old town of Rethymnon in the winter
Liked: The location was just fine.
Disliked: The accommodation was very nice and we had our 8 kilo dog with us and with that the problem was to carry her up the highly polished steps to the bedroom with nothing to hold on to was just not easy. I would also say that the steps would be very difficult for elderly people.
