Fabulous
Excellent and beautiful hotel in the heart of Rethymno oldtown!
Liked: Excellent and beautiful hotel right in the heart of oldtown! Truly exceptional service and caring staff.
Liked: Beautiful hotel. Excellent location for the old town and restaurants. Lovely feeling in old building.
Disliked: Very noisy at night from street below. Lighting in room was atmospheric but difficult to see. No lift to upper floor. Would have liked a kettle.
Great place, excellent location, staff that go above and beyond and fair price
Liked: What a great place this was, located perfectly for exploring the old town, exceptionally friendly staff, and beautifully decorated.
Disliked: We loved it here, the only things we were quite disappointed in was having no kettle in the room to make morning coffee/tea. And only a bathtub, no shower.
Overall it was an amazing experience
Liked: Location was amazing, walking distance to everything!
Disliked: The room itself was a little dated and the shower was in a large tub which was difficult to navigate as a person on the smaller size.
Charming, rustic, avoid basic rooms, definitely upgrade if you can
Liked: We booked 2 rooms, the standard room was very basic with no wall hook for shower ( making hair washing virtually impossible). It was on ground floor with small window, very gloomy and had some street noise. The superior room was more charming, with a nice small balcony. Good Aircon ( based on Oct temperatures of low 20s). I like the rustic charm of the hotel, the welcoming staff and wonderful location. If you are looking for modern chic, this isn't the place for you. The breakfast was OK, the rooms very clean and the hotel is very good value.
Disliked: Gloomy ground floor room with no wall mounting for shower.
Delightful venue in the Old Town
Liked: The building is Venetian, over 500 years old, and very nicely renovated to retain many features. The location in the Old Town not far from the port was nice. Breakfast excellent, as was the restaurant.
Disliked: The stairs were a little steep (I have balance issues).
