Exceptional
Great, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful varied breakfasts, good location
Liked: Breakfast, incredibly helpful staff.
Disliked: Two single beds pushed together and made up as two singles is not the same as a double.
A wonderful family run boutique hotel with excellent staff and service
Liked: The property was excellent. The owners and staff were truly exceptional. The grounds and pool area were extremely well maintained. When you’re at the hotel the rooms and amenities are wonderful. The morning breakfasts are fresh, hot and well prepared. It was a bit too cool and windy to use the pool while we were there. The staff at the hotel always went above and beyond to any request you have. Even had great laundry service. Their homemade pizza was amazing.
Disliked: The only issue was that the property is located up on a hillside. It’s an easy walk down to the harbor and restaurants however, there are a number of steps up the hill and then a steep incline straight up walk along the road up to the property. The slow walk up takes about 15 to 29 minutes. But it’s worth it. There are taxis available but on a limited basis. There are only 10 taxis serving the entire island and you can pre book.
We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! The hospitality from Stella and everyone was amazing
A beautiful, family run hotel that brings out the soul of Sifnos
Liked: Margado was, in every way, the perfect place for us on our first visit to Sifnos. Prior, Katerina had been extremely helpful in recommending places to eat, where to hire a boat and car and once we arrived we felt immediately welcome by the lovely family’s warmth and kindness. We were collected from the port and fell in love with the view from the terrace and our room’s balcony. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed and the traditional and homemade breakfast served each morning was delicious. The hotel is very well situated in terms of privacy and seclusion whilst being able to walk or drive into Kamares and we were able to park without issue. Overall, we absolutely loved Margado Hotel, fell in love with Sifnos and we are recommending the hotel to our families and friends and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on our next visit to Sifnos. The hotel and the family who run it, made us feel so at ease that it just enhanced every aspect of our trip.
Disliked: Nothing to say
Beautiful family run rooms
Liked: This is a fabulous family owned and run guest house. Amazing attention to detail and the photos of the room and pool area do not do the property justice. Easy pickup was provided from the port, and a wonderful welcome from the family and two dogs with lemonade and cheese pastries while we waited for our room to be ready (note we arrived 3 hours before the checkin time). Stunning views, amazing breakfast and truly one of the loveliest places we have stayed. If we are back on the island we will return. So peaceful and relaxing. If this is your first time to Sifnos - which it was for us - note that the island is incredibly hilly with steps everywhere. The guesthouse is only a short walk (6/7 mins) outside of Kamares main bars and restaurants but is up many steps and an incredibly steep road. It’s quite an aerobic workout to the property.
Lovely accommodation, excellent and helpful hosts and the best breakfast. Location suited us even though it was on a hil
Liked: Friendly staff always made to feel welcome and clean every day
