Exceptional
I would 100% recommend it and I'm sure this is where I'll stay when I return to Skiathos
Liked: We will definitely stay here again if we return to Skiathos. Great hostess and even greater view. We enjoyed a lot the balcony and the friendly cats who visited us every day. The little surprises left by the hostess is a pure exemple of the famous Greek hospitality. ❤️ Megali Ammos Beach is very close (a 15 minute walk) and there's also a bus station nearby in case you need to get to another place.
Disliked: I hoped it would be a little bit cleaner and a mosquito net would have been appreciated. Future gests should also know that Villa Makis is located at the top of a rather steep hill, so if you wish to avoid exercising/ if you don't rent a car, maybe it's not the right accommodation for you. But it wasn't a problem for us and you should know that the city center is still very close (less than 10 minutes away).
Beautiful apartment with stunning views
Liked: Fantastic location with an amazing view. It was slightly out of Skiathos town so was lovely and quiet but still only around 20 minutes walk into the centre. Away from all the noise but close enough to experience all the amazing tavernas in the evening. Our host was lovely and attentive and answered our couple of questions (via email) promptly, there was a bottle of water in the fridge on arrival and even some homemade cake a few days later. Rooms were cleaned every day (except Sunday) and clean linen every few days. We loved staying here.
Disliked: There wasn't anything to dislike about the property or host. The only downside was the walk up, it was a very steep hill! Not a problem for us but could be an issue. However, after arriving in the room after the climb up the hill to be greeted by the view made it worthwhile. And the air conditioning helped cool us down!
Perfect for a greek holiday
Liked: The villa was beautiful and really comfortable. It is easy to arrive (you take the bus from the port to bus stop 4, where you have to go up a little hill and you arrive. Also the taxi drivers know about the villa and it is pretty cheap to get from the port or to go to the airport. It has a supermarket (small one) right next to the bus stop.
Disliked: The faucet from the bathroom was not very convenient due to its shape. But it is a personal preference.
Cosy rooms with a beautiful view
Liked: Amazing view (the whole chora of Skiathos), cosy rooms, very clean and friendly stuff. Ideal for couples because the romantic flair.
Disliked: The Studios are located over a hill and if you don't have a good physical condition or a car, it will be a challenge to get there.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Villa Makis. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the first day. The room was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed very frequently, which we really appreciated. The accommodation is located on a hill, but we didn’t mind it at all. The beautiful view from the balcony was definitely worth it and was one of the highlights of our stay. The location is excellent – close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and the main promenade, all within walking distance. The nearest bus stop is Stop 4, which is very convenient for both the airport bus and buses to the other beaches around the island. Even Lidl is only about a 20–25 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Villa Makis to anyone visiting Skiathos.
Very comfortable and quiet hotel with warm hospitality and a lovely view
Liked: The property was very comfortable and stayed relatively cool with the doors open. The view of the ocean was pretty much unbeatable and it was easy to hang out for hours on the terrace. The owner was incredibly kind and very helpful, even giving us pastries! There is a bit of a hill to climb but if you have a scooter or a car its easy and if not (we didn’t), its worth it for the lovely view and hospitality.
