Exceptional
Lovely accommodation with outstanding views
Liked: Very comfortable, well equipped accommodation, nice touches like bottles of water, welcome bottle of wine and snacks. Amazing views from the terraces. Great bakery 15 minutes walk up the road - visited each morning for coffee.
Disliked: More attention to detail needed - couldn't find a plug for the kitchen sink, soap dispenser in bathroom didn't work, remote controls for air condtioner and tv didn't work properly. It would have been nice to have an information sheet in the property in english detailing things like wifi code, direction of nearest supermarket, scooter hire etc Bedroom and bathroom furniture was a bit tired
Liked: Superb location with easy beach access: through the gate, cross the quiet road, down a few steps, and into the water. There are beautiful rocks and lagoons if you love snorkelling. But first: sipping espresso under the villa's olive tree watching a sunrise (moonrise also available from the comfort of the terrace under a ceiling fan). There is a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher plus many small appliances too. It is an easy 20-minute walk to the town centre along the beautiful seashore. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes away. Good wifi and air conditioning throughout the villa. The bed is fine but it is firm. There is a nearby taverna but we only saw it open a couple of times (we came in early September); The beach bar opposite is good for those days you forget to buy coffee pods albeit expensive. The host is ever so friendly and helpful; when we needed some sharper kitchen knives for cooking with she had them to us later the same day! She also helped with booking a taxi to and from the villa from the ferry with our bags (€15 each way). Aside: we highly recommend hiring an eBike to explore the island (€25 for 24h from LifeCycle). There is a bike rack at the villa, too. If you come in September then be sure to check which Saturday has the Armata festival - it is not to be missed! Highly recommend this villa; We had a very relaxing holiday here.
Disliked: Beware the hot water is extremely hot! There are only minimal decorations, which makes the overall internal appearance a tad on the bare & plain side...but you'll likely be spending your time sitting outside on the terrace watching the moonrise!
