Liked: One of the best holidays we've ever been on! I don’t know if we just got lucky, but the service in Zakynthos is outstanding. I wish business owners in Slovakia would learn from this customer-first approach. This applies to every single beach, attraction, shop or restaurant—and we visited plenty of them. What made it even more perfect was the Alas accommodation—the photos don't lie, it really is right by the sea, or rather, right above the sea. Yes, you can go for a swim straight from the property, and it's also safe for kids. The accomodation was clean, with daily housekeeping, and excellent homemade breakfast...! Nikos is a fantastic host, incredibly helpful and patient. He arranged our airport transfer and car rental, and it was only thanks to his advice that we discovered beautiful hidden gems of the island, far away from the commercial crowds. If you are looking for peaceful accommodation right by the sea, which is at the same time close to shops and restaurants, or serves as a great base for trips, Alas is the best choice. Nikos, thanks for everything!
An absolute recommendation. This place made our stay on Zakynthos perfect!!!
Liked: The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. You feel welcome from the very first moment. The property itself is colourful and well kept, with lovely orange and blue tones and a nice reception area. The location is fantastic. Direct beach access with sunbeds and a shower, plus a beautiful view. Since there are only a few apartments, it never feels crowded. Everything is quiet and relaxed. The gated parking is a big plus and you feel completely safe there. Cleanliness was excellent. The room was cleaned every day and done properly, floors included. The bathroom was spotless as well.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about. We genuinely could not find a downside.
Great trip and would happily return
Liked: I think the location was perfect, the host was excellent and would organise anything that was needed with no problems at all. It is also a short walk to the main strip for bars and restaurants which was perfect.
Disliked: I couldn't really fault anything.
Little gem with sea view
Liked: We loved the sea view and the balcony and the room all together. There was AC and a mosquito net on the window and even external blinds for the night and a towel rack outside. We liked the position as it was at the end of the Argassi town street so less busy (at night you could hear just the sea waves) and there was a very practical and private parking 50m before the property and everything (shops and restaurants) was reachable by foot in 5min. The communication and contact with the owner was super and he gave us many recommendations. We would definitely come back here if we come to Zante again!
Disliked: The bathroom could use a renovation, especially the shower but altogether was okay. Mind that the water coming from sink and shower is a little salty. Also you can hear the neighbors, especially when they get to the room but there is just like 4 rooms and nothing that è earplugs can’t fix. The AC and the entrance control panel make a lot of light so not ideal at night if you like to sleep in darkness
Liked: Very clean, beautiful view and easy access to the sea. Kind staff and delicious breakfast
Disliked: WiFi connection wasn’t great if you’re upstairs
