Great apartment, large, good views, but smelt very strong cigarette smoke, neglected in some ways

Liked: The apartment was huge with a front facing view and the spacious balcony had great views to watch the sunset. The apartment was spacious and quite a nice design. The bed was actually extremely comfy and I slept well.

Disliked: Unfortunately the apartment smelt so bad of cigarette smoke, the owner said we don't have have smoking apartments, clearly they do, the stench was horrible. We had to open the balcony doors and put the air con on full blast. There was also loads of dead flies in the bathroom lights fitting and ripped wall paper that was sticking out. The owners live and work in the office opposite but run a wedding booking service too, and I reckon they are neglecting the apartments a little too much. The smell of smoke and things that were neglected really let it down, we would have stayed longer but the smell of smoke was too bad.
