Disappointed in the lack of communication among staff

    Liked: Room was very comfortable.

Disliked: I gave a negative rating for the staff due to a disappointing experience during our stay. On Thursday morning at 8:00am, a member of staff mistakenly woke us up. Despite having paid for an extended checkout until 2:00pm the previous evening, we were then contacted by three different members of staff after 11:00am, each asking us to check out. This was particularly frustrating as our late checkout had already been arranged and paid for in advance. Unfortunately, the repeated interruptions and lack of communication between staff members had a negative impact on our overall experience.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The rooms are standard hotel rooms with comfortable beds and some nice touche

Liked: Location, the hotel is beside the RDS and close to the Dart, there is a bus stop outside. However the Dart wasn’t running the weekend we were there and I understand this happens quite often especially on bank holiday weekends. The room was very quiet at night however some guests who were up very early made a lot of noise coming and going.

Disliked: We were charged €10 per night for parking in the hotel’s own car park which was a bit much considering the price we paid for our stay. We were waiting 30 mins for our order to be taken at dinner one evening and another 35 before food was served. The food was nice but expensive considering the size of the portions which were very small.

Great but could improve on communication

Liked: Hotel was lovely & staff were excellent

Disliked: Room was far too hot (stiffling). I asked on several occasions about shower facilities to use after the marathon & was told every time "oh no problem, you can use". When I ACTUALLY came back from running the marathon I was then told "we dont have any facilities". I had a 4 hr drive home! This part was incredibly frustrating & disappointing from a 4* hotel. I asked if there was a designated hotel room they might have for the runners to take turns as I knew other hotels (such as Landstown hotel) provided this service & was told no.
