Disliked: Very busy in the restaurant & no on-site parking Paid 20 Euros to park in a car park 20 mins walk away.

Definitely worth consideration with easy access to the City Centre by tram

Liked: It was a good value quirky hotel, loved the Marshall Bluetooth speaker in our room and the walk inn shower. Some great quality local restaurants nearby

Disliked: Space around the bed was very tight, there were only three coat hangers with no hooks for costs etc elsewhere we had to ask for more and the duvet was a bit too small! The guitar that was in our room was missing a string......

Refused Accommodation, Charged Anyway – Absolutely Shocking Customer Service!

Liked: Unfortunately, we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy anything about the hotel, as our experience was ruined before we even checked in.

Disliked: Absolutely disgraceful experience from start to finish. We booked The Devlin believing it was a dog-friendly hotel. We arrived with our tiny 2kg dog, only to be told we couldn't stay because we hadn't notified the hotel in advance. The hotel had a dog-friendly room available with a double bed, but because there were three of us, we were told we would have to book TWO separate rooms, bringing the total cost to over €400 for one night! There was absolutely no willingness to find a reasonable solution. To make matters worse, the gentleman at reception was completely unhelpful and showed very little interest in resolving the situation. The parking situation was equally shocking. We were directed towards three rented parking spaces located a considerable distance from the hotel, which was extremely inconvenient. We had stayed at the Hilton Kilmainham just the previous week with the same dog and were welcomed with open arms, even receiving a lovely care package for him. The difference in customer service was unbelievable. Despite being refused accommodation, my partner's card was subsequently charged for the night's stay. No goodwill gesture, alternative arrangement or satisfactory resolution was offered. I completely understand that hotels have policies, but there is a difference between enforcing policies and providing decent customer service. What should have been a lovely night away turned into a stressful, expensive and extremely disappointing experience. I would strongly advise anyone travelling with a pet or family to be extremely careful before booking this hotel. We certainly won't be returning.

Liked: Staff were lovely location is very good.

Disliked: Bedrooms are very small and the bed is pushed up against the wall not suitable for people with mobility issues as you can only get in and out of one side of the bed.
