    Dirty, poorly described, extortionate

Liked: The owner seemed very communicative via email and the poor cat was very sweet.

Disliked: This is a shared house- not a room in a normal house. There are long and short term residents so a bit of tension. There are five rooms, three of which are double, one toilet and one shower stall. There is a shared TV room (space for 2?)- but it is pretty much always full of people drinking big cans of lager or their stuff (see photo). If you have the misfortune of being upstairs, you have to scuttle past everyone (and the TV) if you need to use the toilet-fun! Apparently you can use the kitchen, but the equipment appears to belong to the longer term residents. It is also covered in signs asking you not to brush your teeth in the kitchen sink, which is fairly off putting. The floor is gross, covered in grime and footprints and the back door is permanently open so don’t expect to get a pan to boil. Eating wise, don’t try- there were people eating on the (horrific, filthy) stairs when we came in. The bathroom facilities open on to the kitchen, so that’s very hygienic- the floor was really grim (see photos) and not everyone seemed to know that toilets flush or that used toilet roll does not go in the bin- but these things happen in shared toilets, however, you are supposed to brush your teeth in the microscopic sink in there (yum, love e.coli). The shower is literally a stall opening on to the kitchen- there is a lock but getting dressed without dumping your clothes in the shower tray or alternatively flashing the people in the kitchen is a challenge- bring flip flops or sliders. The loft hatch is permanently open so it is freezing, three of the five (possibly more?) rooms have no windows, it’s really dirty and very expensive.

I was very positively helped by a neighbor who helped me flag down a taxi to get me back to the airp

Liked: No breakfast was included. The place was left open for me which made a big difference since I was not able to access the internet while there, did not see the email with instructions for getting the key to my room and password for WiFi until after I got back to the airport the next day.

Disliked: My inability to receive crucial info by email meant I slept on the couch. So much better than sleeping on highly uncomfortable chairs in the public areas of the airport.
