  A pleasant stay, with room for improvement in breakfast and service

  Liked: My room was very nice and quiet. However, the bed sometimes felt as though it was sliding away from the wall. The bathroom was lovely and appeared to have been recently renovated, which was a great bonus!

  Disliked: Breakfast was a combination of buffet items and dishes prepared to order by the chef. Unfortunately, the Eggs Benedict was disappointing. The bread was hard to cut, the eggs were not runny, and the overall taste was below expectations. The service was also a little confusing. When I asked the waiter for more orange juice, she told me, “You can’t take it yourself.” However, when I first arrived, she had served me the juice. This inconsistency made it unclear how the service was supposed to work.

  Liked: A hotel with its own tradition and character. Friendly people. Excellent, good value meals. Comfortable rooms. Lovely. We will go there again!

The Hotel's Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday for lunch, and Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. Meals will be served in the Saints & Scholars Lounge.
