Liked: Staff, room, modern, inside green
Exceptional staff, accommodation and staff team
Liked: A true gem run by a family and team who go out of their way to cater to those in staying or visiting the outstanding restaurant. The rooms and beds are high quality.
Disliked: The only minor point for improvement is the coffee - which was weak and slightly bitter.
Peaceful Mountain Retreat with Exceptional Hospitality
Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Baita Fraina. The location is very peaceful and quiet, yet close to Cortina and easy to reach by car. It was also a great base for Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which took about 35 minutes by car to the entrance gate. The newly renovated bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, and very thoughtful — they even prepared a breakfast box for us when we had to leave early for our hike. The restaurant and breakfast were excellent, and having breakfast outside with the beautiful mountain views was a highlight. Highly recommended!
Liked: A wonderful retreat up the hill from busy Cortina. The setting was extraordinary, with an incredible view. Staff was very attentive, and the rooms were clean and we'll furnished. Breakfast had great variety, and a to go breakfast box was available when we needed to leave early to hike. The lunch/dinner restaurant was amazing, providing creative and exceptionally tasty meals.
Disliked: Some farm animals are nearby, including chickens (no rooster) and donkeys. Not a lot of noise, but if you are hyper sensitive, you might notice.
