Fabulous
Wonderful Stay
Liked: We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Villa Nevada. The location is great, right in the centre of Cortina and easily walkable to shops and restuarants. We hired a car and there was ample free parking outside the hotel. Our room was great, very clean and comfortable, the best part was the view from the balcony. There was a good selection at breakfast (continental toast/pastries etc) and the hosts were very warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: The walls were a little thin so we could hear the guests in the next room. For the most part everyone was quiet and it was a peaceful stay but be mindful you can be overheard.
Liked: Room was clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. They prepared a takeaway breakfast for our early morning hike which was very kind and helpful.
Disliked: Location was good but a little far from city centre.

Very good option for hikers in Cortina
Liked: Great room with a fabulous view. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom facilities clean and the water pressure was sufficient. I liked having a small fridge in the room, and having a desk was also helpful. The true beauty was the balcony though. It was spacious and had great views and was a real treasure. I also really enjoyed the breaksfast, that had a wide selection of breads, pastries, meats, cheeses and vegetables. They were also able to provide gluten free bread / crackers for me. They had juice, sparking water, coffee and tea available too. The timings were rigid, but fine for me as an early riser. I think it's a great location for hikers taking the bus up to the Dolomites, as it's just a short distance from the bus stop.
Disliked: The staff were very knowledgeable and made themselves available to answer questions and explain things whenever I needed it. They just weren't as warm and friendly as some of the other Italian hotel staff I experienced during my stay. They were very strict about check in and out times and breakfast times. It's a bit of a walk out of the main town to get to, and there aren't proper side walks, so you need to walk very close to the cars.
