Fabulous
Disliked: The soundproofing in the room is extremely poor—you can hear people talking inside the rooms from the hallway. At night, there was a continuous noise from the bathroom pipes, which kept me from getting a good night's sleep for both nights. On top of that, for 400 euros a night, the room didn't even have a window; the only window in the entire room was in the bathroom.
Very comfortable stay with a feeling of traditional hospitality in a historic hotel
Liked: Up grade to junior suite appreciated and location great for train station and city centre. Breakfast was very nice with terrific view from the 5th floor. Complimentary soft drink and snack in room mini bar was a nice touch Ability to borrow a charging adaptor was great and avoided a lot of stress Staff were very helpful and friendly
Disliked: The in room kettle wouldn't fit the Italian 3 pin socket - but not a big issue. The bath with overhead rain shower was great but not easy to climb into
Liked: The history - pictures and writings on the walls of the corridors. Roof top restaurant and cocktail area outside. Especially the french fries, best in the world. Staff so pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Great location.
Disliked: No
Wonderful stay so enjoyable loved the the balcony in our room
Liked: Everything was wonderful, the breakfast was so good the staff did an amazing job. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was so very good. We enjoyed the cocktails and the wine. The staff at the restaurant was amazing and kind. The whole experience was wonderful. The front desk help in so many ways. Thank for a unbelievable stay.

Liked: Location
Disliked: It is unacceptable for a four-star hotel to turn off the air conditioning in the rooms; when I complained and asked for it to be turned back on, the receptionist responded rudely and dismissively, telling me to just open the window. When the window is opened, it’s impossible to sleep because of the sound of police cars and ambulances. Furthermore, from early in the morning, there is construction work on the street opposite, as well as a building undergoing renovation.
Liked: The hotel is in a great location, with beautiful rooftop views and an excellent breakfast buffet. I also enjoyed the historical photographs and stories displayed throughout. Unfortunately, the gentleman who checked me in was rude and standoffish, and some of the breakfast staff seemed selective in their friendliness toward guests. Overall, a lovely hotel, but more consistent hospitality would have made the experience much better.
Disliked: Some staff members seemed standoffish and could have been more welcoming and courteous.
