  Firenze fantasy

  Liked: Hotel La Fortezza is renovated, new and clean. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom & shower are fantastic. The staff were very helpful! The location was good. We ate at Il Clarinetto twice, a five minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant was lovely, well priced, excellent house wine and food.

  Disliked: We did not like having to pay an extra 20 euro per night to park our car on site.

  Nice hotel, a little far

  Liked: Nice room, great breakfast, really friendly staff, clean quiet and comfortable. A little bit far from the Historical center of town, but it was in a quiet and safe neighborhood.

  Hotel La Fortezza, July 2026

  Liked: We had a great stay at La Fortezza. It was convenient to the train station (just 2 tram stops away!) and the hotel itself is lovely. The rooms were spacious and updated, the bathroom facilities were brand new in our room (with a nice strong shower - American style:)). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, gracious, and kind. The hotel was also convenient to the city center where we spent most of our time. I highly recommend La Fortezza as your hotel in Firenze!

  Lovely room, great location

  Liked: I knew little about this hotel other than what was in a few TripAdvisor reviews. The hotel was absolutely lovely. It was incredibly clean and the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. This was a very easy walk - even with luggage (carry-on, not big suitcases) - from the train station and the main parts of town. My walks ranged 10-20 minutes to my destination. I was incredibly impressed with the value I received for the price.

  Superb hotel in Florence *****

  Liked: Amazing stay at our recent trip to Italy. Could not fault. Staff very helpful and friendly. A highlight was the gluten free breakfast - lots of tasty options for coeliacs.
