Liked: Everything was great! It's a small, cozy hostel with a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I had no negative experiences at all!

Disliked: The only downside was that the beds didn't have privacy curtains. Other than that, I had a really lovely stay!

  An amazing stay

Liked: Everything about my stay was great. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, with a real sense of community, so it's easy to meet people and feel at home. The staff are extremely professional, every single one of them, without exception. Breakfast is excellent and honestly worth paying for. I'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence

Liked: I'm not usually a fan of youth hostels, but as a budget traveler I don't always have much of a choice, and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. the rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, the 10-person dorm had 2 en-suite bathrooms which was nice, and the kitchen was well-equipped including free pantry staples like dried pasta, canned veggies, etc. I really enjoyed the upstairs patio as a place to hang out and get some fresh air. due to no fault of the hostel, I had an issue in my original room and they graciously helped me move into a different one. one staff member in particular, I'm sorry I don't remember his name but he usually worked the afternoon/evening shift, was very helpful and kind. there's also paid laundry on-site which is convenient.

Disliked: Considering the number of guests staying at this hostel at one time, I felt that there was a lack of common areas to sit, relax and hang out. The upstairs patio was a saving grace in this regard. Other than the staff member I mentioned above, the rest of the staff was kinda hit or miss. One down side for those who stay out late is that the first floor of the hostel is a bar open to the public. I came back one night around 1:30am and had to walk through the nearly empty bar to get to my room, and had an uncomfortable experience with one of the patrons while trying to get to the hostel area - I wouldn't fault the hostel for this, except that the staff member at the bar was not helpful at all in this situation.

My stay was truly wonderful, even though I was only there for one night!

Liked: I loved that the place was really clean and importantly safe, as there were cameras all around and access to the rooms was secure. The location was also amazing, right in the bustling city center and very close to tram stops, plenty of restaurants, cafés, and historical sites. I was even able to leave my luggage in the storage room after check-out so I could roam the city freely and then come back to retrieve it later. The facilities were great, and the room was spacious with two bathrooms for 4 people, plenty of space, and plugs near the beds. The seating and tables outside are also an awesome addition for having a drink or coffee while enjoying the city atmosphere and fresh air. Truly, I wasn't expecting a hostel to be this wonderful. Will definitely book again in Florence or elsewhere in Italy.

Disliked: I only stayed one night and it was amazing. However, for anyone who wishes a quieter place, they might have an issue, because you can hear noises in the corridor, though I guess this is to be expected with older buildings.
