  Firenze 4 nights

  Liked: Close to main attractions, the city center and trattorias etc. The Oltrarno area is calm and safe, and as I mention above, close to everything. The room was spacious and was on this medieval building with its charm. Easy self-check in routine.

  Disliked: The room didn’t have a TV as shown in the pictures, and the bed was old and worn out. The madrass needs to be changed. During the 4 nights we stayed at this room, no cleaning and no bed linen was changed. Either than that, you needed to pay 15€ for luggage storage and check out was as early as 10 am! If you wanted to check out a bit later, it costs 10€ per hour which I’ve never experienced during my 30 years of traveling. The host was pleasant, but greedy. In the room, just beside the outside door - it was a strange door, sometimes with the lights on and sometimes not, very strange. No soundproofing in the room, one could hear everything from the streets.

  Liked: It's an elegant appartment in an old building, partly with stone walls and antic furniture, close to most of places of interest, with a convenient grocery store in 5 minutes walk and pizzeria by Arno river. Comfortable bed, everything You need to prepare meals in the kitchen, small and useful washing machine.

  Disliked: It was extremely hot this summer, the air condition is not sufficient sometimes when it' s 40° outside.

  Nice stay for a solo traveller looking to experience Florence

  Liked: It was great to stay in an old tower. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The instructions from the host were excellent and easy to follow. It was excellent value and in a great location.

  Disliked: It would have been nice to have had a TV in the room.

  Very central location and good value for money

  Liked: Ideal location. Room compact but good value for money. Aircon appreciated.

  Disliked: Some confusion initially but quickly resolved by host. Power point plate near stove needs attention but apart from that everything worked well.

  Liked: The location

  Disliked: The host was not accommodating. We asked for an early check in as we had a baby with us. It was 34 degrees and the apartment was empty but she still didn’t allow us to check in early. We had to sit outside in the heat. The Aircon does not work properly and not a lot of toilet paper was provided for our stay.

Our tower, being a medieval structure over 1000 years old, requires ongoing restoration work. Starting in June, scaffolding will be present on both the front and rear of the building to allow for repairs to the roof and gutters.
