  Great position & staff - rooms need a little attention & paths definitely not suitable for elderly

  Liked: The Swimming Pool was lovely and the area around it was very pleasant. Breakfast was in the restaurant and had everything you needed for a continental breakfast. The restaurant in the evening did great food and you might need to book as it can get very busy. The beds and bathrooms were huge and the cleaners brilliant. All the staff were great. The hotel was in a brilliant position (although you would want a car or electric bike), just a 5 minute drive downhill to Lazise and easy access to the amusement parks.

  Disliked: The Garden Room was rather small, but with a huge bed. The path that runs to and from the garden rooms is very uneven and was quite dangerous for our elderly mother which meant she was stuck at her room until we were there to help her. Some of the rooms needs a little attention eg handles that come off drawers, wall plates hanging down etc, nothing major. The rooms are designed in a rustic style, but a few more soft furnishings/pictures would make them look a little less stark. The lights outside the swimming pool rooms were never on at night so that was rather dark.

  Poor service, hotel guests treated as an inconvenience to the restaurant staff

  Liked: Nice pool area, not too busy. Good food in the restaurant for dinner.

  Disliked: •Poor customer service- we were treated as an inconvenience to the staff. •We had 4 adults staying in one suite and they would give us one toilet roll per day, we had to ask 5 times for more. •You can’t get any food or drinks from the bar between 14:30-18:00, not even water/ coke etc as the staff are all sat in the restaurant eating themselves. •There was only air con in one of the bedrooms of our 2 bed apartment. We were provided with fans when we asked but there was not enough plug sockets int the room to facilitate. Plug sockets hanging off the wall too in the rooms. •Pool area is not maintained or kept clean- there would be takeaway plates/ glasses etc from the previous day still there the next morning. •Staff speak very bad english or none at all which made it difficult to communicate.

  Clean and stylish but customer service needs work

  Liked: Gorgeous gardens and beautifully style restaurant with an extensive and varied menu.

  Disliked: Staff not particularly friendly. Out of control and unsupervised children in pool. VERY dark in rooms.

  Relaxing and family fun in the pool area

  Liked: The pool area is lovely and the kids spent hours in the pool. The restaurant in the evening was superb, great food, great atmosphere, we loved our evening meal!

  Disliked: Our room was on the top floor with only one small air conditioner unit, the room was so hot that we had to request a couple of fans to be sent up. Another air con unit is needed in our particular room. The breakfast was quite disappointing especially given how great the evening meal was. Not enough choice of hot food or any options to order from the kitchen. Some parts of the hotel need some small maintenance work, the conservatory was leaking following the heavy rain, the staff did all they could but it wasn’t ideal having buckets placed all around the floor area. I’d pay special thanks to Lorenzo who made our stay great, really warm and helpful. All in all a stay of contrasts, parts are amazing and parts need some work.

  I did not consider this a great value for the amount of money we paid. We stayed at 3 different places within a week in

  Disliked: Main bedroom air conditioner did not work. When we told staff they advised that it was overrun and may work later. It did not work at all and made for a very uncomfortable night as it was very warm. Bedding was not very comfortable, smaller button to flush toilet was broken, shower head did not shoot water out properly and the apartment had an odd smell.
