Good
Spacious but Dated
Liked: The apartment was spacious and in a good situation within 15-20 minutes walking distance to Lecce old town. The staff were helpful in settling us into the property and Stefania was particularly helpful to us while we were there.
Disliked: Gli Archi is a basement apartment (and consequently a little cool and dark in October) which wasn't made clear in the information on the Booking.com website. The furnishings are dated as are the plug points which only take older-style plug adaptors with thin prongs. It was only by sheer chance that we had a couple of those.

Dark and dreadful
Liked: the pool. it was good but there was a line of scum on the walls around the whole pool, which concerned me.
Disliked: This accommodation is below standard and not fit for purpose. We were 5 female cousins all over 60 coming together from America and Ireland for a family reunion. Each of us very disappointed. One of the rooms had a single bed that was only suitable for a toddler. Two of the bedrooms didn't have any windows, just glass vents up near the Ceiling, making them extremely dark but also dangerous if there was a fire. the 3rd bedroom had windows that looked out to a wall with garbage bins stored underneath making this room extremely unpleasant if one opened windows for air. There were dishes draining on the kitchen sink from the previous guests when we arrived and a filthy dish sponge and cloth, Disgusting really. No tioletries were provide. We requested a new sponge and some tea towels, but the tea towel provided was very old and should have been replaced. One of the bathrooms had a filthy shower curtain and tiolet brush that should have been replaced several years ago, it was filthy! The bathrooms and kitchen were awful, Dark and Dingy with some cracked tiles and missing bulbs. some electrical sockets were hanging off the walls. The apartment is so dark that we needed to have lights on during the day. Overall this was a most unplesant stay. we were all releived to be leaving yesterday to return to our own beautiful homes. I had booked an Airbnb property for the previous 10 days in Nardo for 3 of us and it was amazing. I would never use your site again for self catering accommodation. I am in the hospitality business in Dublin and we offer properties to tourists and corporate travellers like yourselves. we would never supply properties of this standard to visitors. I make sure that all of our properties are checked before we advertise them, I suggest you should do the same. I was most embarrassed about this proeprty as I was the one who had booked it.
