  Liked: This hotel was a dream and I did not want to leave. From the beautiful ex-palazzo interior to the modern conveniences like a fabulous bathroom, Ortigia bath products, soaring ceilings and an old-world balcony - I could not ask for anything more. Gianmarco, Lucrezia, and the team were so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcomed. The roof terrace was a delight and breakfast was a leisurely way to begin our days. If going up stairs is a concern, please note that there is no elevator. The palazzo is in the middle of town, doesn't feel touristy, and really makes you feel like you're living in a southern Italian dream.

  A Gem in Monopoli

  Liked: Excellent location in historic center, steps from port, piazza, waterfront, swimming areas, grocery, restaurants and bar/cafes (may get some alley noise at night). The staff are some of the best and personable that I've found in my travels, conversant in several languages. Breakfast was awesome with sweet and savory choices, all very fresh. Great capuccino. The building is a historical palazzo, with inner courtyard now covered with a glass roof. Upscale bathroom. Balcony over street/alley. Self-service laundromat is about a mile away, but an easy walk. (Management can handle your laundry, if preferred).
