  Good short stay in Perugia

  Liked: Nice flat close to the station (7 min. walk) in an area without shops or restaurants. Need to move to find some nice places.

  Disliked: Beautiful flat, 2 rooms, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom.

  A useful base for exploring a beautiful city

  Liked: The location was excellent for proximity to the train station, bus station and mini metro. Some building work on the subway from the train station made it a longer walk round for us, and we didn't know about it in advance, so were somewhat confused when finding the property for the first time. Normally it would be a very quick walk to the train platforms. Our hostess was always available to answer questions. There was a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. The bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well. We had most things that we needed. The kitchen was adequate. We liked the city very much, and the minimetro system is fun, with a very frequent service, so no waiting around, and a brilliant asset.

  Disliked: We assume that properties in Perugia are expensive, as this apartment was the most expensive we stayed in, but had a slight budget feel about it. We were uncertain about how safe we would be at night, because there were single men standing watching us, with time on their hands. At no time were we threatened, and we relaxed a little over the time we stayed there. Our main dislike was the absence of comfortable chairs to relax in, after a tiring day of walking around the city. There was a choice of firm kitchen chairs to sit on, or the bed. So, a good place to leave luggage and sleep, but not to spend any length of time in. Italian soundproofing in general is not great, and we could listen to the neighbours' conversations rather too easily!

  We enjoyed our stay very much

  Liked: Very nice host. Good place to stay. Very clean! Neat the train station. But better ask the host to send you some photos before arriving, because there are many different entrances.
