  A lovely short stay in Ragusa Ibla

  Liked: Carla was amazing! She was super friendly, helpful and accommodating when we asked about adjustments to check out. The breakfast was no frills but yummy. The rooms itself was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Great walking distance from Ibla and everything needed.

  Disliked: Minor criticism was that the air con didn’t work the best.

  Liked: Il Canale Design House is a charming boutique hotel managed by Carla, a delightful young host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed for one night during our Sicily trip and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to reach by car, with parking available just behind the property. We could even see our car from our room, which was very reassuring. Our room and bathroom were spotless, tastefully furnished with modern furniture, and featured a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The walk to the historic center of Ragusa Ibla is picturesque and enjoyable. Carla provided excellent recommendations on the best route to take, as well as tips for restaurants, bars, and local attractions, which helped us make the most of our visit. In the morning, she served a delicious breakfast on the sunny terrace, a perfect start to the day. We had a wonderful time in Ragusa and highly recommend Carla’s hotel to anyone planning a short stay in this beautiful town. We would gladly stay here again.

  RECOMMEND

  Liked: Accommodation in Ragusa Ibla (approx. 10 min walk to the historic center). Renovated old house, free parking available in the square next to the house (the friendly owner will also arrange for a reservation if possible). The room has everything the guest needs. They offer breakfast (toast, salami, jam, cereals, fresh pastries, coffee,...) The accommodation is a good starting point for visiting both parts of Ragusa, as well as nearby towns such as Modica. There are also good restaurants nearby that you can reach on foot.
