  The mold was horrific

  Liked: The location was good, close to the train station and easily walkable all the way to Portofino. The owner sent me a message on the day of arrival with instructions on how to reach the apartment, which was great.

  Disliked: One word sums up this accommodation: mold. As soon as we opened the door, we could smell the terrible smell of mold, and it was very difficult to be in the room; sleep was awful because of it, and you could sense the wetness of the walls throughout the night (we spent the daytime outside the accommodation). If they intend to keep renting the room, they need to change the AC, as it is also moldy. They need to place a huge dehumidifier that they will regularly empty and keep the AC on lower degrees 24/7 for 365 days a year; otherwise, the mold will be present forever, no matter how many times they paint it over (they did paint it, but the smell gave away the presence of mold still, and there were spots of it to be seen both in the room and in the bathroom). And as for the plastic cups for tea that I had to mix with cold water in, so the cups wouldn't melt - my late, illiterate grandma had a steel spoon and a ceramic mug for tea, in the middle of a mountain, 80 years ago, and I think that sums it up. We were too tired to search for other options, as we were on the road for 3 days already, and everything was also super expensive, with no guarantee that it would not be moldy as well in the city, and also we stayed for only two days, so we managed somehow. But should one 'put up' with anything like this, for these prices per night, when on vacation? Unfortunately, we will not come back to this place.

  Best stay in Santa Margherita Ligure!!

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay at La Stanza in Puazzetta, they thought of everything to make you feel comfortable, the room is large as is the bathroom, we highly recommended staying here! the location is perfect, everything is very near; the beach, the bus and ferry going to Portofino, restaurants, the city center plus it’s very quiet at night and very safe. I would return here.

  Perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of Italy

  Liked: Daniel was excellent - in touch with us ahead of our stay with very clear instructions and also available throughout our stay. The apartment was very well priced for the size and amenities. It was modern in style and had a little fridge (lovely to have water and Coca Cola in same), coffee machine and kettle etc - also useful maps and speedy wifi. Very large bathroom with fabulous walk in shower and nice to have a separate toilet. Also v good to have air con and lovely to have change of towels mid way through stay. Felt v secure and it’s central position meant that you could easily access anywhere you wanted to go and see sights. Also v informative tourist information kiosk and amazing public transport systems meant we were able to really really explore the area comprehensively.

  Disliked: Nothing - everything was as described. To be really picky then some insect screens over window would be an added bonus to stop the insects / mosquitos which are a natural part of staying in lovely warm parts of Europe
