Lovely, functional apt with great hosts, BUT

Liked: Wonderful, friendly and very helpful hosts. Great access to the train station for day trips to Portofino and Cinque terra. A large grocery store next to the building making it very convenient for people cooking meals. Very pleasant apartment, nicely furnished and a fully equipped kitchen. Light and airy apt. with elevator in.the building

Disliked: The apartment building is adjacent to the railway tracks (50 m), is across from a public park and playground, and also on the main road. Noise from constant trains (much less at night), motorcycles on the road, and the children in the parks during the day, and the adult party people at night. It was NOT a HUGE issue for us and apparently for others as the reviews frequently didn't comment on the train or other noises. BUT, for people senstive to sounds they may find this a challenging situation.

  Near perfect

Liked: - Excellent location, all interests were very close: beach, city center, supermarket, children park, train station. - Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable with all utilities included. - The lady that manages the apartment is very nice, considerate and helpful.

Disliked: - It would've been perfect if the kitchen had a sandwich maker:) - The trains are a bit loud but we were expecting that since the building is near the rail tracks. At night though the trains are not passing until early in the morning so you can get a quiet sleep.
