Exceptional
Very close to Ravenna city center with a nice garden
Liked: Very good location, 5-8 minutes walk to city the center. Parking was free, in front of the house. The house has a very nice garden. They provide useful Ravenna map in 3 languages. The host is very kind, he tries to help in everything. They brought fresh, very good gluten free bakery for breakfast (need to be requested ahead), not provided only a packed product. I always take my own pillow, but here the pillow was really good, I did not use my own one, which is very rare. Extra blankets were also provided. There were also more luggage handler, which is also rare, but useful. We were in two rooms (Rose), a double bedroom and a triple bedroom (on the second floor opposite the stairs). The triple bedoom has two bathrooms, one of them is pretty big and with a bath, the other one is is smalller and with a shower.
Disliked: Considering the price-value rate of the rooms and the informations that was provided on Booking.com it was a fair accommodation.
Liked: Intercepted upon arrival, immediately guided to convenient parking lot. Clean, quiet despite big fiesta in the old town. 5 minutes walking to the gates of the city.
Location is everything
Liked: Excellent location, quiet, beautiful gardens, expansive rooms
Disliked: The price was a little high
Adequate place to stay if you're on a budget
Liked: The owner/host gets by well in English, French, and German as well as in Italian, of course. He was very friendly and helpful. In particular, when we could not get a taxi to our next destination (in the same town), he piled us and our luggage into his car and drove us there himself.
Disliked: There was a nice breakfast buffet. In addition to what was offered, it would have been nice to have some hard-boiled eggs. The bed was lumpy, making it difficult to get to sleep. Our room was too warm, so we opened the window. That let in lots of mosquitoes. The owner's wife speaks basically only Italian and looks cross-eyed at those who don't. For some reason, there are no taxis to be found in Ravenna, and the busses were on strike, so one needs to walk everywhere. The hotel was about 15 minutes' walk from the old town and the mosaics. It is quite a bit farther from the train station.
Even the rabbit was friendly
Liked: It was a nice room with all necessities included. And it was a real friendly and helpfull staff, which includes the rabbit in the garden🥰. We would be happy to return on another occasion. Kresten Drejergaard
